Certainly, you know that feeling when you watch a good film or read a good book and you forget about the whole world. You read a new page of the book eagerly while following the life of your favourite character Did you ever wonder what makes a given book so attractive? The answer is simple: the idea and way of narration, meaning the great talent of the author. Is it possible to learn the art of storytelling? It is. Not all of us will become the next Emily Dickinson, Ernest Hemingway or Steven Spielberg, however we all have that basic skill of storytelling within us that we can develop. We are all unique with different experiences that can be used as the basis because, as you know, life writes the best stories.
A story is a natural way of sharing experience and knowledge that has been used for thousands of years. This technique can also be used at work and in business with proper usage of knowledge of storytelling. This method will enable you to reach a higher level of communication with customers. It has been used by the biggest global brands for years, e.g. Coca-Cola, Apple, or Honda. Storytelling is the ability of impacting one’s imagination and emotions through comparisons and metaphors. Naturalness and authenticity should be its basis because these two elements are best when it comes to developing bonds in the long-run.

- Structuring a factual, clear and convincing speech.
- Plot, i.e. the main plot and auxiliary stories as the background to storytelling.
- The sources of the main character’s conflict – emotions and aim as the main motivators.
- Breakdown – the turning point in the story.
- The actual story – attempt and confrontation.
- Final round – overcoming vs. losing.
- Narration in business – leadership, sales, presentations.
- Inspiration as a sign leading to change – convincing others to your visions.
- Personal development programme based on coaching techniques and tools.
